This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviours and standards for all individuals associated with Inverness Thistle Football Club, including players, coaches, staff, and club supporters. By being part of the Inverness Thistle family, we all share a responsibility to uphold the values of respect, integrity, fair play, and community spirit.
Players’ Code of Conduct
As a player representing Inverness Thistle Football Club, I commit to:
Respect:
Treat all teammates, coaches, staff, opponents, match officials, and supporters with respect and courtesy, regardless of their background, ability, or beliefs.
Refrain from any form of discrimination, bullying, harassment, or offensive language.
Respect the decisions of the match officials, even when I disagree with them.
Integrity and Fair Play:
Play with honesty, integrity, and to the best of my ability, adhering to the rules of the game.
Avoid any form of cheating, gamesmanship, or unsporting behaviour.
Uphold the reputation of the club both on and off the pitch.
Never engage in betting or match-fixing activities.
Teamwork and Commitment:
Be a positive and supportive teammate, encouraging and motivating others.
Attend all training sessions and matches punctually and prepared.
Follow the instructions and guidance of the coaching staff.
Prioritise the team’s success and work collaboratively towards achieving our goals.
Responsibility and Conduct:
Act as a responsible ambassador for Inverness Thistle Football Club at all times, both on and off the field.
Maintain a high standard of personal conduct, avoiding behaviours that could bring the club into disrepute.
Respect club property and facilities.
Communicate any concerns or issues through the appropriate channels (e.g., coach, team captain).
Adhere to the club’s social media policy.
Coaches’ and Staff Code of Conduct
As a coach or member of staff at Inverness Thistle Football Club, I commit to:
Respect and Welfare:
Treat all players, colleagues, and supporters with respect, dignity, and fairness.
Prioritise the safety and well-being of all players, particularly young players.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.
Be a positive role model, demonstrating high ethical standards.

Professionalism and Development:
Maintain and enhance my professional qualifications and knowledge of the game.
Plan and deliver effective training sessions and provide constructive feedback to players.
Act in the best interests of the players’ development, both as footballers and as individuals.

Integrity and Responsibility:
Act with integrity and transparency in all dealings related to the club.
Adhere to the rules and regulations of the governing bodies and the club.
Report any concerns regarding the welfare or safety of players.

Club Supporters’ Code of Conduct
As a supporter of Inverness Thistle Football Club, I commit to:
Respectful Behaviour:
Treat all players (from both teams), coaches, staff, match officials, and fellow supporters with respect, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Refrain from any form of discriminatory, abusive, or offensive language or behaviour, including racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other form of prejudice.
Respect the opposition players and supporters, even during intense moments of competition.
Positive Support:
Support Inverness Thistle Football Club in a positive and encouraging manner.
Create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere at matches.
Avoid any behaviour that could bring the club into disrepute.
Respect the property and facilities of the home and away grounds.
Fair Play:
Accept the decisions of the match officials.
Promote fair play and good sportsmanship.
Behave responsibly and considerately towards others.
General Expectations for All Members
